Hostel Rules (General)

  1. The hostel accommodation shall be provided to the regular students if available.
  2. The students who can make suitable arrangement with their parents for boarding and lodging outside the campus may be allowed to do so at the discretion of the Principal on production of a written undertaking from parents that he/she will take part in all extracurricular activities of the institute and shall exhibit good conduct.
  3. The parents will provide the details of relatives along with their photos duly signed, who is allowed to visit the student during the course of study.
  4. Boarder should approach hostel warden first for all hostel related issues and information.
  5. All cases of illness should be reported to the hostel warden.
  6. No student should keep electric appliances, fire-arms, sharp edge weapons, poisonous things and narcotic drugs and substance in any kind in the hostel. A boarder found guilty shall be expelled from the hostel, apart from any other punishment.
  7. The students shall make proper use of common rooms. Hours of the common room will be fixed by the hostel warden from time to time.
  8. The mess arrangement will be under the direction of the warden and a mess committee will be formed for the assistance.
  9. Visitors will be allowed only on Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM in the visitor's room.
  10. Day scholars are not allowed inside the hostel.
  11. After the general allotment, application for withdrawal from the hostel should be counter-signed by the father/guardian and submitted to the Hostel Warden. Such an application should be presented after hostel dues have been cleared.
  12. Even if the boarder has actually vacated his/her room, he/she will have to pay all the hostel dues and fines standing against his/her name up to the day he/she continues to be on rolls, until his/her name is formally withdrawn.
  13. A boarder may be expelled from the hostel by the Principal, if the boarder is in the habit of staying away without the permission and hostel fee and mess dues are in arrears for more than a month.
  14. Students who do not clear their dues such as dues of the hostel mess, canteen, fine etc. by the prescribed date will not be registered for the subsequent year until and unless, they clear all their dues and get "No dues certificate" from the Principal and the concerned Hostel Warden. In case of those students who are to leave the Institute after completing the degree requirements or otherwise, their result as well as the Provisional Certificate/degree will be with-held till NO DUE certificate is produced.
  15. No boarder shall leave the hostel without personally handing over the charge of the room. Loss, if any, will be recovered from his/her. He should get the hostel leaving slip from the hostel warden/clerk.
  16. Minimum 3 months fee will be charged from the student if he/she leaves the hostel before mid-session or join the hostel after mid-session. Similarly full six months fee will be charged if he leaves the hostel after mid-session or join the hostel before midsession.
  17. The students who wants to go home for any reason should obtain permission from class coordinator, principal and hostel warden before leaving hostel, failing which the entire responsibility will of the student concerned and of the parents.
  18. Students are strictly warned not to keep any valuable with them. Management is not responsible for its lost.
  19. Students will be sent home along with authorized persons whose photographs are given in college, for once in two month for a maximum period of two days.
