Additional Hostel Rules

1. After the general allotment, application for withdrawal from the hostel should be counter-signed by the father/guardian and submitted to the Hostel Warden. Such an application should be presented after hostel dues have been cleared.
2. Even if the boarder has actually vacated his/her room, he/she will have to pay all the hostel dues and fines standing against his/her name up to the day he/she continues to be on rolls, until his/her name is formally withdrawn.
3. A boarder may be expelled from the hostel by the Principal, if the boarder is in the habit of staying away without the permission and hostel fee and mess dues are in arrears for more than a month.
4. Students who do not clear their dues such as dues of the hostel mess, canteen, fine etc. by the prescribed date will not be registered for the subsequent year until and unless, they clear all their dues and get "No dues certificate" from the Registrar and the concerned Hostel Warden. In case of those students who are to leave the Institute after completing the degree requirements or otherwise, their result as well as the Provisional Certificate/degree will be with-held till NO DUE certificate is produced.
5. No boarder shall leave the hostel without personally handing over the charge of the room. Loss, if any, will be recovered from his/her. He should get the hostel leaving slip from the hostel warden/clerk.
6. Each student shall present herself in the warden room to get herself marked present from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm daily from Monday to Sunday except for the weekends commencing Friday evening to Monday morning, in case they are going home.
7. For leaving from hostel, a slip shall be signed by the Warden putting the date and time of departure. This slip shall be signed by one of the parents after noting down the time and date at which the student reached her home.
8. The same slip shall be signed by the parents' noting the time and date of leaving from home for the institute. The slip will be deposited with the Chief Warden/ Warden.
9. No student shall take a lift from any known or unknown person for going home and returning to the institute/ hostel. Only public transport or transport provided by SBBSMCS is to be used.
   For emergencies, the parents are requested to take their wards home personally or through a close relative duly authorized in writing and whose photographs are in the hostel record.
10. A family photo of a girl student with father, mother, brother, sister, local guardian, etc. duly signed by each member, shall be kept in the records.
11. Parents shall sign an affidavit regarding permission in case they are willing to permit their student daughter to travel under her own arrangements independently from/ to hostel.
